COVID-19 Response
COVID-19 RESPONSE
COVID-19 has exacerbated the economic, housing, immigration, and infrastructure crisis that has already been harming, displacing, and deporting community members.
Since lockdown, we formed the OC COVID-19 Community Response Team, distributed over $450,000 to undocumented community members who were excluded from federal relief, and signed up over 100 community members for vaccines. More resources below:

VietRISE Immigrant Community Relief Fund
In 2020-21, we distributed $800 per person to undocumented Vietnamese immigrants in Orange County who were excluded from federal COVID-19 financial relief. In total, we distributed $450,000 directly to community members.
We are no longer distributing funds, but you can learn more about how we did it here (English + Viet available).
COVID-19 Orange County Community Resource Guide
We formed the CV-19 OC Community Response Team and put together a comprehensive resource guide for community members to use. Please use the tabs on the bottom of the page in the spreadsheet to navigate different categories of resources.
We are no longer updating this guide, but many of the resources are still relevant. If you would like us to update any information, email indigo@vietrise.org.
COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach & Sign-Ups in Little Saigon
In mid-2021, we conducted a 2-week program and assisted in signing up over 100 Vietnamese community members in working-class neighborhoods for the COVID-19 vaccine with a team of local Vietnamese-speaking volunteers.
