Join our Election Outreach Civic Engagement Team!
We’re hiring canvassers to get out the vote for the 2024 General Election! Canvassers will speak to Little Saigon residents about important local ballot measures and issues that impact immigrant and working-class communities. Training will be provided. Short travel to and from the office will be required.
The program starts on Wednesday, Aug. 28 and ends Tuesday, Nov. 5. Pay is $24/hr. Position type is part-time, temporary, non-exempt employee.

Join us at our 2024 Little Saigon Community Festival!
This festival is a vibrant, community-led event that aims to unite Vietnamese, Mexican, Central American, and all the communities that make up Little Saigon to celebrate our immigrant and refugee communities, champion human rights in Little Saigon, & envision a more just future for all.
We’ll have live music, cultural performances, artist booths, art-making, food, vendors, community resources, and more! This is an all-ages event, families are welcome!

Digital Empowerment Workshops
Join our monthly Digital Empowerment Workshops aimed to equip community members in Orange County with essential digital skills for staying informed, staying safe online, and finding employment.
Computers and iPads will be provided. Participants who complete all 4 workshops will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the 4th workshop. Participants are welcome to attend workshops in different months and languages.

Research Brief: Vietnamese Voices from Orange County, CA: Narratives of Government, Community, and Change
A larger share of Vietnamese residents than any other ethno-racial group in Orange County support economic redistributive policies and say that they believe it is the government’s responsibility to reduce income inequality. These findings are among the results of a 2022 study published by the Othering and Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley (OBI) and VietRISE.

2021 Million Dollar Hoods Report: Bookings Into Orange County Jails
In a 2021 report published by Million Dollar Hoods, researchers found that although Vietnamese people make up only 30% of the Asian community in Orange County, 42.5% of the Asian people booked into an OC jail were Vietnamese.
2020 Poll: OC Residents Want More Housing Support for Homeless, 50% Vietnamese Respondents Feel Housing Insecure
In a 2020 study conducted by OBI supported by VietRISE, 65% of Orange County residents said they would support a plan to build housing with supportive services. Support was highest among APIA respondents, at 77%. Over 50% of Vietnamese respondents have felt housing insecure as of 2020, compared to 12% before the coronavirus outbreak.
